Nicki Minaj Scores ADIDAS Deal

Nicki Minaj said it best herself: “best legal team so the deals is ill.” The Young Money Cash Money rapper has snagged yet another high-profile endorsement deal, this time with ADIDAS. Minaj will be starring in a commercial for global athletic brand, rocking colorful foot ware and apparel designed by fashion leader Jeremy Scott.

Love her or hate her, Minaj really has brought her boastful lyrics of world domination Barbie-style to fruition. Since receiving breakout success, the Queens MC has broken major ground in the music industry by defining her own brand, venturing into different musical genres, and standing her ground when the skeptics and critics initially labeled her as a gimmick. From her Skittles inspired hairstyles to her slick, off-kilter bars, Minaj continues to prove to everyone that she’s only just begun.

Beyonce Hand-Written Letter To Michelle Obama

Beyonce Knowles updated her new website today with a personal letter to First Lady Michelle Obama that she decided to share with her SUPPORTERS.

Beyonce has established a special relationship with our FLOTUS since she sang “At Last” at one of the President’s Inaugural balls 3 and a half years ago.

Since then, Beyonce & Mrs. O have teamed up for the First Lady’s “Let’s Move” campaign, Beyonce & her family donated a stack of cash during FLOTUS’ recent NYC Presidential fundraiser for her husband, and both ladies have expressed a mutual respect for each other.

So Beyonce penned a letter revealing her appreciation for the First Lady…and even thanked her for being a role model to her own daughter, Blue Ivy.  She wrote:

Michelle Obama is a force. An empowered inspiration not only to women, but a living example to us all.

CARTOON HAS A MESSAGE FOR BLACK WOMEN

There’s a little illustration, a cartoon if you will, that’s currently making its way around the web. Though there is evidence of its presence on the internet, as far back as October of last year, comedian Kevin Hart made it popular by posting it on his Facebook page. Judging by the reaction to the comic, everyone doesn’t find it so funny.

You want to know what I think? While I could take offense to the stereotypes the black women in this comic are portraying, I can also say that I chuckled when I first looked at this illustration. You know why? Because all jokes, though occasionally absurd, are usually based off a modicum of truth. And while this scenario has never played out in my personal life;…to the best of my knowledge, I can say I’ve seen it happen. As far back as middle school, I’ve seen it happen. And not just to the “nerdy” dudes either. Boys who were considered “soft” or “too dark” were sometimes openly and harshly rejected by sistas. And you know what? They moved on. Not always washing their hands completely of black women but gravitating towards a woman who wouldn’t put them down. Who can be mad at that?

Sure, not all black men start dating white women because of this and certainly all black women don’t reject men they think are “geeky” but this is one, two framed illustration. It would be foolish to think it could tackle all the sometimes painful dynamics that exist between black women and black men.

The Alleged Salaries Of The Real Housewives Of Atlanta

NeNe Leakes once infamously said, “I’m very rich”…. and now we may know why.   If these reports are true.  Get the scoop on NeNe’s alleged salary and find out house much the other ladies make as well!

 

Hello Beautiful posted the alleged salaries of the “RHOA” stars and they are actually make pretty good money….if all is true. NeNe Leakes (the “rich” one) is said to make $750,000 a season on the show (and that’s pretty damn good for a housewife), plus a $250K bonus.  So that’s a million dollars total.  Kim Zolciak–who made maybe 5 total appearances the entire season, oddly supposedly made the second most.

Meanwhile, her rival Sheree Whitfield is said to make close to $700K.  I hope she saved some because she’s not likely to return next year.  And since many people aren’t feelin’ her……the options are limited.

Here’s the reported breakdown:

NeNe Leakes – $750K per season, plus a $250K bonus for doing the reunion show

Kim – $600K per season plus a $150K bonus for doing the reunion show

Sheree – $550K per season plus a $150K bonus for doing the reunion show

Kandi – $450K per season plus a $100K bonus for doing the reunion show

Phaedra and Cynthia – $300K per season plus a $75K bonus for doing the reunion show

Marlo – $75K – she must be available for filming on request.

Peter (Cynthia’s husband) – $75K – he must be available for filming on request.

Kroy and Apollo – $50K – must be available for filming on request.

Hmmm.  Reportedly, The “Housewives of Beverly Hills” cast drew in about $165K max…for the season.  And they had one of the highest rated seasons of the whole franchise last season.  So the RHOA numbers do seem a bit inflated.  But who knows.  Either way…we all know faking it till you make it is a Housewife specialty.

Nicki Minaj Gets A Bedazzled Cake For Miami Album Release Party

After a heavy promo tour for her new Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded album last week, Nicki Minaj finally chilled out Easter Sunday in Miami with her YMCMB crew.  And she had a fitting bedazzled 4-tier Swarovski decorated cake for her bash at Fontainebleau Hotel.

 

Nicki and YMCMB’s head honcho Lil Wayne partied it up alongside the rest of the fam–like Cortez, Mack Maine, Birdman and Mystikal–at Miami’s Fontainebleau Hotel.

The creative folks at Divine Delicacies Custom Cakes told us they whipped up a strawberry shortcake flavored creation for the blonde Barb.  And did it on a one-night’s notice after Wayne put in a request the night before.

It’s 4 tiers of fondant, edible color paints (including Nicki’s fave color pink), pink pearl Fondant bows and pink & blue Swarovski crystal bands around the cake and brooches on the bows.

Nicki’s new album covers and monogram and paint splashes like what’s on her covers were all over it too.

By the way, this was the 29-year-old’s first time meeting Mystikal and she tweeted: “Met Mystikal… Didn’t tell him I had a crush on him back in da day doe.”

Ha!

It was revealed on the latest episode of the E! reality show “Ice Loves Coco” that “SVU” actor/rapper Ice-T’s 20-year-old son, Tracy Marrow Jr. (Little Ice), is dating Jasmine Saunders.

You may remember Jasmine as the ex-girlfriend of both Jeezy and Chris Brown.  Jr. recently brought Jasmine home to meet his family.

The Obama’s For The 134th Annual White House Easter Egg Roll

The Obama Family put on their bright spring colors this morning to celebrate the White House’s 134th annual Easter Egg Roll.

Along with the Easter Bunny, President Obama, First Lady Michelle, and First Granny Marian Robinson & First Daughters Sasha & Malia helped celebrate the 134th anniversary of the White House Easter Egg Roll today.  The event used to be held on the Capitol grounds until the late 1870s before President Rutherford B. Hayes moved the roll to the White House lawn in 1878.  Now everyday citizens can enter a lottery to win the few tickets that allow them and their families to roll Easter Eggs with the First Family.

This year, the roll carried the “Let’s Go, Let’s Play, Let’s Move” theme in line with First Lady Michelle Obama’santi-obesity campaign.

The event kicked off with Rachel Crow singing the National Anthem and activities included cooking demonstrations, sports, hunting for hidden eggs and the egg roll itself, a contest to roll brightly-colored eggs across the White House lawn using wooden spoons.

There were also appearance and performances from celebs like Janelle Monae, story time with celebs likeJulianne Moore and Forest Whitaker and dancing with DJ Jazzy Jeff.

President Obama coached a few events and then showed the Harlem Globetrotters his basketball & push-up skills.  I would say how sexy this pic is but it may be inappropriate so….

And then Mr. President broke out a wooden spoon and helped some adorable kids roll their eggs.  First Lady Michelle Obama said, “I think the president is going to try to beat a three-year old.”
