Bow Wow Ordered To Pay Limo Company For Unpaid Bill-Ballin!!!!

Damn Lil Bow weezy!
Accordinfg to TMZ: Bow Wow can officially check another lawsuit off his list of legal woes, but doing so is gonna cost him almost $4,000 … TMZ has learned.

A Georgia court ruled this week in favor of the limo company that sued the rapper for not paying his bill. He’s been ordered to pay $3,594.87 in a default judgement because he never showed up in court.

Sources close to Bow Wow tell TMZ he is currently in the process of cleaning up his financial troubles, which has included hiring a new team to handle his business affairs.

Bow Wow already paid off one lawsuit this year — $90,000 to settle an unpaid tour bus bill — and we’re told his new team is already in the process of dealing with the three tax liens already against him for the years 2006, 2008 and 2010.

Donna Summer Lithographs Art Gallery Goes Way Up After Singer’s Death

According to TMZ: Death = $$$ … at least when it comes to art … and a gallery in Vegas is proving the point, ’cause it immediately upped the price of Donna Summer pieces when she passed away.

The Jack Gallery in Las Vegas worked with Summer in 2003 to create limited edition lithographs … printing 750 hand-signed prints of 4 different art pieces (designed by Summer), which sold for $550 each BEFORE she lost her battle with cancer.

But days after the Disco Queen passed away earlier this month, the prices went up AT LEAST $100 a pop … with the cheap ones going for $650. Donna’s most popular piece — The Winter Melody — was raised from $550 to $1,000.

The gallery tells us that Summer’s work is in high demand since her death — Winter Melody is almost sold out — and her art is effecting people like never before. We’re told when one couple came in to admire the legendary singer’s art, they broke down and cried.

The gallery is currently planning a memorial exhibition for all the pieces that will go up in September at one of their Las Vegas locations.

When asked about the price increase, a rep for the store says it’s just the nature of the business … “Prices are determined by availability.”

Kids Raise Money For Family Of 76-Year-Old Gas Station Clerk Who Was Set On Fire

This story is crazy, but we’re glad to see the kids coming together to support this woman’s family.

Local high school students raised $10,000 for the family of a convenience store clerk known as “Grandma” to many in the Garland community.

76 year old Nancy Harris died Friday night, nearly a week after she was robbed and set on fire at the Fina gas station where she worked in Garland.

On Saturday, students from South Garland High School returned to the place of the attack to hold a car wash and raise money for her family.

“I was just devastated,” said Dylan Stooksberry, president of the school’s student council. “It’s kind of outlandish that someone would go out of there way to do this. To have that happen to someone who you know, to a face that you know, to a friend it’s devastating.”

“It hurts deep down and honestly if someone is going to go out of there way to do something bad like that, I am going to go out of my way to do something nice,” said Stooksberry.

The Fina gas station is located just a block from their school. Many students like DJ Valderrama personally knew Harris.

“I came in the gas station and she showed me so much kindness by giving me a free drink,” Valderrama said. “Whenever somebody shows you that kind of kindness if affects your life really.”

Despite the tragedy that happened at the Fina gas station, many students told NBC 5 that the incident has brought the community closer together.

Many hoped this fundraiser will help honor Harris who meant so much to many.

“I know Ms. Harris is looking down on us right now, I know she is happy,” said Valderrama.

Matthew Johnson is charged with Attempted Capital Murder in connection with this case. Those charges could be upgraded because Ms. Harris has now died.

This is just awful.

Mark Zuckerberg And Wife Priscilla Chan Honeymoon In Rome

When in Rome, do as the Romans!!!

Via TMZ:

Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan blended with the crowd during their honeymoon in Rome — as best as a gazillionaire can blend.

It looks like they didn’t attract much attention — in fact, they seem to go unnoticed by most people in the crowded restaurant in the middle of the famed city.

Italy is fitting, because Mark said “arrivederci” to around 3 billion bucks this week after his Facebook stock took a nosedive.

Cynthia Nixon Weds Girlfriend Christine Marinoni!!!

Cynthia Nixon Weds Girlfriend Christine Marinoni

Give it up for the gays… “Sex And The City” star Cynthia Nixon wed her longtime same-sex partner Christine Marinoni this weekend!

Three years after getting engaged at a rally to support same-sex marriage in New York – which was not legal at the time – Cynthia Nixon and Christine Marinoni were married Sunday.

“On May 27, 2012, Cynthia Nixon and her girlfriend, Christine Marinoni, were legally married in the state of New York,” her rep tells PEOPLE in a statement. “Nixon wore a custom dress by Carolina Herrera.”

No other details were immediately available.

The Sex and the City actress, 46, and the education activist, 45, have been together since 2004. Marinoni gave birth to their son, Max Ellington Nixon-Marinoni, in February 2011.

Nixon also has two children from her previous relationship with photographer Danny Mozes.

The couple waited to marry until it was legal in New York state, which happened last summer. “I’m enjoying being engaged very much,” Nixon said in 2010. “I don’t mind a long engagement, which this one is surely turning out to be.”

Mississippi School Handcuffs Students To Railing For Disciplinary Reasons-Not Anymore!!!

Public schools in Jackson, Miss., will no longer be allowed to handcuff students to poles or other objects, under a settlement with the Southern Poverty Law Center reached in U.S. District Court. Jody Owens, director of the Mississippi office of the Southern Poverty Law Center, said the Capital City Alternatives school in Mississippi’s largest district must immediately stop handcuffing students, a practice used to punish even such things as dress-code violations.

“The focus should be education, not incarceration and it’s tantamount to child abuse when children are handcuffed to railings for something as simple as not having the appropriate belt or inappropriate shoe strings,” Owens said. The way students had been disciplined in the school was abusive, she said. “We have some students who have gone on record to say it’s happened to them three or four days in a row,” Owens said. “We know there are some students who actually had to eat their lunch with one hand handcuffed to a railing.”

According to the settlement, approved by U.S. District Judge Tom Lee, district employees will stop handcuffing students younger than 13, and can only handcuff older students for crimes, and no student may be handcuffed to railings, poles, desks, chairs or other objects. “It’s apparent there were severe problems that we hope now are being addressed and will be alleviated,” Lee told lawyers in court Friday, just before signing the settlement order.

CCA Principal Marie Harris said in her deposition that some did handcuff students, but that it was done for student safety. The ruling requires the school to change its approach in dealing with emotionally challenged students. The school was ordered to conduct a “climate assessment” that includes students, parents and teachers, as well as a mandate that all teachers be trained to deal with students with emotional and behavioral management problems, Owens said.

Police say the woman threw a liquid on to Hamilton’s face and body when he opened the door, which began to burn the man.

Mary J. Blige’s FFAWN Charity Has Loan Defaults, Missing Money, & More…

Mary J Blige FFAWN Charity is going down!!!

According to the New York Post:

Mary J. is a deadbeat diva.

The New York music star’s charity is supposed to empower women but instead has no office, no phone number — and hundreds of thousands of dollars in missing donations.

It failed to file its federal tax returns for 2010, which were due last November, along with its annual state-charity registration. The charity has now been hit with two lawsuits — one claiming the group stiffed musicians at its 2011 fund-raising gala and another saying it defaulted on a $250,000 loan, The Post has learned.

Blige, known as the “queen of hip-hop soul,” touted the charity’s success on the “Today” show in late 2010, saying, “I sent 25 women to college.”

She was promoting her fragrance, My Life, which sold a record 60,000 bottles on the Home Shopping Network during its six-hour debut in 2010. One dollar from each sale was supposed to benefit The Mary J. Blige and Steve Stoute Foundation for the Advancement of Women Now, known as FFAWN.

Sounds like a good idea, ya know, helping women get their education. Unfortunately, there is one problem…

Where the $60,000 from the fragrance sale and other donations went is a mystery. The group’s 2010 annual report has nothing on its finances for that year.

And just months after the “Today” appearance, the charity began falling apart. It held a star-studded benefit concert on May 3, 2011, hosted by Queen — an honorary board member of the charity — and featuring appearances by Blige, Jennifer Hudson and Christina Aguilera.

When several of the band members who accompanied the stars went to get paid, the checks bounced, according to court papers.

“We got a whole series of checks — rubber,” said Harvey Mars, a lawyer representing 30 musicians and others.

A lawsuit filed in State Supreme Court in Manhattan this month claims the group is owed a total of $167,252 for wages and penalties for nonpayment. The charity did have cash, though. It borrowed $250,000 from TD Bank in June 2011.

To make matters even MORE shady…

The bank asked for repayment at the end of that year, sent two demand notices this February and got nothing. TD Bank sued the charity a few weeks ago.

A process server delivered documents relating to the suit to the charity’s purported office on West 45th Street last week.

A receptionist at the office, which is the headquarters of Stoute’s Translation marketing firm, said that the charity was no longer there and that she didn’t know where it was.

Crazy-Things are going to get better Mary!!!

Black Man Assaults Paramedics Who Were Assisting His Dying Mother…….Really?!?!!!

Via NY Dailynews:

The hotheaded son of a dying Brooklyn woman assaulted emergency responders he thought were taking too long — hampering their efforts to save her, sources said. Diane Carter, 54, died as her son, Dexter Malik Carter, 22, was arrested for injuring an EMS worker during the chaotic 911 response in Brownsville Friday. “He prevented EMS from rendering medical service to his mother,” a police source said of Dexter Malik Carter, who was charged for punching a responder.

The wild incident began when Dexter’s brother, Bernard Carter, 26, made a 911 call at 12:21 p.m., complaining their sick mother was not eating and feeling weak. Such a call is given less priority than more urgent emergencies by the city’s busy EMS crews, sources said. The call became a higher priority eight minutes later, when Bernard again dialed 911, this time to report his mom was vomiting blood.

Fourteen minutes after the initial call, EMS workers arrived at the Glenmore Plaza housing project, and were met by an enraged Dexter Carter, who decked one of them in the face, officials said. The EMS worker was taken to Kings County Hospital with swelling and bruises to his face, officials said. Other EMS workers tended to Diane Carter — who had gone into cardiac arrest — but they were too late. She was declared dead at the scene at 1:13 p.m.

She died of hypertension and heart disease, with obesity as a significant contributing factor, according to the city medical examiner. Dexter was arraigned Saturday and released without bail. The remorseful son told the Daily News on Sunday that he was upset the EMS workers seemed jovial and nonchalant when they arrived to treat his mother.

“I wasn’t in my right state of mind,” he said. “I just saw my mother throw up waterfalls of blood,” he added. “She was my inspiration.”

A former security guard, Diane Carter had a longstanding thyroid problem and had been treated at Brookdale University Hospital for pain in her legs just days before her death, her family said.

Dexter Carter has more than 10 prior arrests going back to 2006, ranging from weapon and drug possession to assault.

What you think?
