Emmitt later received a response from Lee that changed the course of her career. After saying that she is the “black lady” on the news broadcast and isn’t terminally ill, Lee responded, “Many Black women use strong straightenin

Pope Benedict XVI sent out his first Tweet:
“Dear friends, I am pleased to get in touch with you through Twitter,”Thank you for your generous response. I bless all of you from my heart.”
He sent the first tweet himself on an iPad in front of a public audience. He will not send out every tweet personally, but his new form of outreach is to connect with Catholics across the globe.
“Offer everything you do to the Lord, ask his help in all the circumstances of daily life and remember that he is always beside you,” he later Tweeted.

Here we go! Is there a year where a Jackson member doesn’t break headlines? Jermaine is finishing off 2012 with a bang. Jermaine is changing his famous last name to something more artistic: Jacksun. He is legally changing his name to a name that will bring more light to his artistic self. Jermaine’s friend tries to defends him by saying “Phonetically, it changes nothing”. Jackson’s hearing is scheduled for February 2013. Until then, I honestly don’t know what to say but RIP Michael.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr told HuffPost Live host Josh Zepps in an interview Friday that he believes conservative media outlets such as Fox News are damaging the country.
Asked how he thought things have changed in the political landscape, Kennedy pointed to “big money” and “the right wing control of the American media, starting with Fox News” as hurtful to collaboration between differing political interests.
“Twenty-two percent of Americans say their primary news source is Fox News,” Kennedy told HuffPost Live. “It’s divided our country in a way that we haven’t been divided probably since the Civil War, and its empowered large corporations to get certain kinds of politicians and ideologues who are in the United State Congress elected — the Tea Party ideologues who control the Republican Party.”
Kennedy, who is the nephew of John F. Kennedy and Ted Kennedy and attorney specializing in environmental law, also spoke about the hydraulic fracturing — or fracking — and the health risks and associated costs the practice represents for the country.
It must be tough being Fox News. Half your reputation is ruined by lies the other half is ruined by the truth. However, all journalists write with bias. It’s unavoidable. One can only write from within their own perspective and frame of reference.
Even the most ardent attempts at objectivity still produce some bias. MSNBC and other networks are not exceptions to this rule.
Do you agree with Kennedy’s statements?
Why did he write this in English?
Apparently all Marc Paskin wants for Christmas is a Latina girlfriend and the San Diego, Calif., millionaire doesn’t care if the everyone knows it.
Via HuffPo reports:
The Southern California real estate investor, worth $200 million, according to Gawker, gained some measure of fame when he appeared on a March 2011 episode of the ABC reality show “Secret Millionaire.”
The billboard, which is located on Interstate 5 and 28th Street in Barrio Logan, a mostly Latino neighborhood, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. The large sign includes Paskin’s smiling face and his AOL email address.
NBC San Diego reports that Paskin is quite the philanthropist. He’s given more than $1 million to the UC San Diego Shiley Eye Center. In addition, he once handed out $125,000 — a $10 bill at a time — to a Detroit neighborhood, according to Fox News.
“When I die, no one will be at my funeral talking about my cash flow or how many properties I own,” Paskin told the San Diego Union Tribune in 2011. “But they will be talking about my heart, and how I used my success to help others in need. Giving back, helping others – to me, that is success, not the size of your bank account.”
Paskin, 63, was married for 28 years to his wife, Marsha, who died in 2002 from diabetes complications. He has two adult children.
Fox News reports that Paskin likes to travel, sing karaoke and dress up as Elvis Presley. Those qualities seemed to earn Paskin a stamp of approval from the Latino Daily News, which wrote, “Come on, ladies! This guy seems like a real sweetheart.”
Paskin has not yet confirmed whether he put up the billboard himself, however.
Ay dios mio! A guy who can’t find a nice Latino woman in Southern California probably couldn’t find a kool-aid packet in the hood. What the hell is up with the AOL account? People still have those?? We have questions.
Latinas, would you let this thirsty azz millionaire get some of your caliente cakes?
Via TMZ reports:
Ludacris says his record label “Disturbing tha Peace” has a reputation to uphold — so he’s slapping a Texas couple with a lawsuit accusing them of jacking his company’s name.
Luda — real name Chris Bridges — filed legal docs this month … claiming Demetri and Donna Evans-Brown are illegally using the phrase “Disturb The Peace” for their audio equipment biz and musical recordings.
But Luda says he’s owned the trademark for “Disturbing tha Peace” since 2003 — it’s also the title of his 2005 album — and the couple’s use of a similar name will confuse customers and ruin his primo rep.
Luda is asking a judge to force the Browns to stop using the trademark ASAP — and he’s suing for damages, plus attorneys’ fees.
When you starting a company or putting out a new product make sure you do your homework and find what name is LEGAL to use. For example, if you were to open a fast food joint and name it Burger King, don’t should be surprised if people with suits walk in to know whats up.
