Bobby Brown Enters Rehab For His Alcohol Addiction

According to TMZ: Bobby Brown is currently undergoing rehab for alcohol addiction, TMZ has learned.

Sources extremely close to Brown tell TMZ, the former “New Edition” singer admitted himself to the treatment facility very recently — because “he realized he couldn’t do it on his own.”

We’re told he’s being treated for alcohol abuse issues — a problem Brown has openly suffered from for many years.

The source adds, Brown “decided that he needed help and wants to make the best out of the rest of his life for his children’s sake.”

Brown was arrested for DUI in March — a month after his ex Whitney Houston died.

Real Love? Ray J Returns to the Hotel Where Whitney Died

Ray J and Whitney Houston seemed to have a special relationship. The family doesn’t agree, since they seem to believe that Ray J contributed to some of the bad habits Whitney had that led to the end of her life.  But maybe the family needs to stop blaming Bobby, Ray J and other men in her life and realize that Whitney was a grown woman who did what she wanted to do.  But that’s our two cents.

Ray J did return to the hotel where Whitney died this week to pay respects.  For months, he avoided the Beverly Hilton Hotel because the memories were just too painful. But now, the 31-year old is going back to reconnect to the spirit of Whitney in person.

Whitney’s mother has said that she would never go back to that place, but others realize that this was the last place that they would get a chance to remember their wonderful songstress.  In spite of her troubles and challenges, Whitney was still one of the greatest singers of all time.  We will always love you Whitney, and maybe Ray J loves you too.

Bobbi Kristina Set To Sing In Whitney Houston’s Tribute At The Billboard Awards

Bobbi Kris can sing??

On May 20th at The Billboard Awards, we’ll find out. Bobbi Kristina’s hopes to become a singer will come true when she hits the stage at the award show. Bobbi has been tapped to participate in a musical tribute to her late mother, Whitney Houston:

R&B divas Brandy, Monica and Gladys Knight will present with Chris Brown, Usher and Justin Bieber giving special performances. Though details are sparse as to what Kristina’s role will be, it’s sure to be an emotional one.

The announcement of her contribution to the event also comes with the news that Houston’s family, including her mother, daughter, brother and sister-in-law will also be the stars of a new reality TV series entitled The Houston Family Chronicles. The show will document the grieving family across 10 one-hour episodes on the Lifetime network to air later this year.

Meanwhile, the newly engaged Bobby Brown told Billboard Friday that he has not heard of the show. “I haven’t heard about that and I definitely question it,” he said. “But I know my daughter will make the right decisions in her life. She was brought up right.” Brown, who starred in the 2005 series Being Bobby Brown is also working on his own reality show.

“The Houston Family Chronicles was already in the works at the time of Whitney’s death. [Her] unexpected passing … certainly affects the direction of the show,” Pat, the wife of Whitney’s brother Gary said. “However it is my hope that others will be enlightened as they watch our family heal and move forward.”

While we applaud Bobbi’s courage to be able participate in this tribute, we wonder how her ummm… singing ability will stand up next to the likes of Gladys Knight and Monica. Will she be able to stand the pressure of not necessarily sounding like her mother but at least meeting her standard of vocal greatness? Jesus be an auto-tune.

Will you be tuning into The Billboard Awards?

R&B singer and reality star Ray J, 31, has always denied any romantic link to Whitney Houston, the superstar pop singer who was found dead Saturday in her room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. She was 48, 17 years his senior.

There is no denying the two had a special bond.

Romance rumors began circulating in 2007 when the “I Will Always Love You” singer ended her 15-year marriage to R&B bad boy Bobby Brown. A year later, they were photographed enjoying dinner at Beverly Hills hot spot Mastro’s and spotted at the Bernard Hopkins-verses-Joe Calzaghe fight in Las Vegas. Around that time, Ray J (the younger brother of R&B singer Brandy) told People magazine: “We like singing, music, movies. We just watched ‘The Pursuit Of Happyness.”

When grilled about his relationship, Ray J coyly told “The Insider” last week that it was “hush hush.”

“We’ve always tried to keep our relationship as private as we could, but when we go out she’s such an icon it reaches the masses,” he said. “But for the most part, we’ve just been friends and we’ve always just kept things hush hush and just quiet and we don’t focus on that.”

Ray J was among the people who were with Houston during her final days. During a club outing last Thursday in L.A., The Hollywood Reporter claimed that he helped diffuse a spat that Houston had with former “X Factor” contestant Stacy Francis.

Though he has yet to comment on Houston’s death, Ray J (who famously dated Kim Kardashian) is surely among the many mourning her loss. According to the Los Angeles Times, he was seen with three friends pacing through the Beverly Hills hotel Sunday morning repeatedly muttering, “Whitney dead.”
