Florida Lt. Gov. Jennifer Carroll Says “I don’t Look Gay”

Florida Lt. Gov. Jennifer Carroll Denies Lesbian Affair With Aide

I didn’t know there was a look to being gay!

The married Florida lieutenant governor accused of chopping down her female aide is disputing those claims by saying she doesn’t even look like a gay!

A politician accused of firing an aide who allegedly walked in on her having an affair with another woman has spoken out to deny the claims.

Florida’s lieutenant governor Jennifer Carroll says the allegations could not possibly be true – because she does not look like a lesbian.

When asked about the claims made by her ex-employee Carletha Cole, the Republican replied: ‘Usually black women that look like me don’t engage in relationships like that.’

The controversy arose after Ms Cole was fired and subsequently prosecuted for allegedly taping a conversation with another aide and illegally leaking it to a newspaper.

However, she claimed that the real reason she had been sacked was because she walked in on Mrs Carroll having sex with a female aide, Beatriz Ramos.

When the lieutenant governor was asked about the sensational allegations by WTSP, she said: ‘The problem is that when you have these accusations that come out, it’s not just one person you’re attacking. It’s an entire family.

‘My husband doesn’t want to hear that. He knows the type of woman I am… I’m the one that’s married for twenty-nine years. The accuser is the one that’s been single for a long time.

‘So usually black women that look like me don’t engage in relationships like that.’

Ms Cole said last week that she witnessed Carroll and Ramos, in a ‘compromising position’ inside Carroll’s office.

She also claimed that Carroll’s chief of staff secretly recorded conversations at the direction of those working for governor Rick Scott, and that the trash can at Cole’s desk might have been deliberately set ablaze following an argument between her and Ramos.

Cole also said Ramos was living at Carroll’s home and at one point she was ordered by Ramos to find adjoining hotel rooms for the pair when they traveled.

The disgruntled aide said that she was ‘scolded’ by Carroll’s security team when she placed Ramos next door to Carroll when the lieutenant governor and her husband traveled to Puerto Rico last summer.

The agent told her to not do it again, Cole said, but did not explain why.

Lieutenant governor Carroll, a former Navy officer who is also a mother-of-three, said the allegations are all lies.

‘That’s totally false and absurd,’ said Carroll, a former Republican legislator who was chosen by Scott as his running mate in 2010.

Carroll said the allegations are an attempt by Cole and her attorney to get the criminal charges against Cole dropped. The former aide was charged with a third-degree felony and could serve up to five years in prison.

Carroll said: ‘They are trying to pull at straws. All this stuff you mentioned doesn’t excuse what happened.’

Ramos, whose title is special assistant to the lieutenant governor, did not return a phone call to her office.

Stephen Webster, the Tallahassee attorney representing 48-year-old Cole, stood by the allegations included in the filing. He said: ‘That’s the truth. It is what it is.’

Webster said his client is a grandmother and minister who had never been in previous legal trouble.

He said the filing was made to show that Carroll, Ramos and Carroll’s chief-of-staff, John Konkus, have reasons to make Cole look bad because they could be witnesses at Cole’s trial.

C’mon son… She can’t be serious with the “I don’t look gay” argument.

Florida Lt. Gov. Jennifer Carroll Accused Of Improper Relations By Former Aide

This ish crazy!

Florida Lt. Gov. Jennifer Carroll has been swept up in a gay scandal thanks to a former aide who is trouble already for some other business:

A political scandal in Florida has become the stuff of soap opera, with a former aide to Lt. Gov. Jennifer Carroll claiming that she caught her boss in a “compromising position” with another female staffer.

The accuser, Carletha Cole, was arrested in October and charged with releasing an illegally taped conversation to a Florida newspaper reporter. In the recording, published by The Florida Times-Union, Carroll’s chief of staff is heard complaining about Florida Gov. Rick Scott and others. If convicted, Cole faces up to five years in prison.

But the criminal case took a turn toward the bizarre this week, with the Associated Press citing court documents that claim Cole walked in on Carroll and a top aide, Beatriz Ramos, engaged in a sexual escapade in the lieutenant governor’s office.

Carroll, a married U.S. Navy veteran with three children, told the AP that the allegations were “totally false and absurd.”

“They are trying to pull at straws,” added Carroll, saying the allegations are an effort by Cole’s legal team to get the criminal charges against her dropped.

According to the AP, Cole’s attorneys filed the documents after prosecutors tried to seal some evidence in the case.

But Cole’s attorney, Stephen Webster, stood by the allegations.

“That’s the truth. It is what it is,” he told the AP, noting that Cole is a grandmother and minister with no legal record.

In the documents, Cole said Ramos had insisted on having an adjoining hotel room with Carroll when they traveled. She also said Ramos was living at Carroll’s home.

Cole also accused Carroll of suppressing an investigation into an alleged arson after Ramos started a fire in Cole’s office trash can, The Miami Herald reported.

In addition, Cole said Carroll’s staffers illegally taped conversations on a regular basis at the direction of Scott’s office.

“The woman is facing a third-degree felony charge,” Scott spokesman Brian Burgess told the AP. “Her allegations should be considered in that light.”

So who do you believe? The politician or the chick facing a felony? Smells pretty shady to us either way.

wow-I think people lie all the time, but they say it’s alot of truth in a loe, so if that’s the case…why this particular lie? Is there some truth in it?
