Jennifer Hudson Sings “I Will Always Love You” In Tribute To Whitney Houston

Jennifer Hudson took the stage at Sunday night’s GRAMMY Awards to pay tribute to the late Whitney Houston.

Jennifer looked wonderful in this look she decided to take the stage in.  And she tapped into her stage presence to perform a 2 minute rendition of Whitney’s “I Will Always Love You.”

It was definitely heartfelt and her own spin on a classic.  It was more simplistic than Jen’s usual but beautiful.  No one else was added to the tribute, including Chaka Khan.  And afterwards, Jen seemed emotional as she got a Standing O.

Here’s the video below:

Adele & Bruno Mars Graced The GRAMMYS Stage

“Bruno Mars was up for 5 awards tonight.  And he hit the stage decked out in a gold blazer to perform his hit single “Runaway.”  And Ms. Adele took over the whole GRAMMY Awards by sweeping all 6 of her categories.  And performing “Rolling In The Deep.”  Vids inside…

Talk about a comeback!  23-year-old Adele sang her most popular track to date, “Rolling In The Deep,” (which has also been remixed heavily by the hip hop/urban set) at Sunday night’s GRAMMY Awards.  And it was the bluesy Brit’s first big live performance since she underwent vocal cord surgery months ago.  And clearly….chick isn’t struggling in the least bit.

Standing O.  Loves her.

26-year-old Bruno Mars was another one of our faves of the night.  He likes to keep his performance style old school with a James Brown flare.  And he rocks it.” Theybf

Rihanna & Coldplay At 2012 GRAMMYS

According to Theybf:

“Rihanna changed out of her uber sexy Armani/Rihanna designed number into another sexy all black outfit for her performance at Sunday night’s GRAMMYs.

Check out Rih hitting the stage and dueting with Coldplay inside…

That voice was not it tonight.  But not only did she take home 2 GRAMMYS for Best Rap Song & Best Rap/Sung Callabo for “All Of The Lights,” she looked hot and had fun hopping around the stage.  She opened with an energetic performance of “We Found Love.”

And then she was joined by Chris Martin and his band Coldplay for their new collabo “Princess of China.”"

Sasha Allen: THIS IS HOW JENNIFER HUDSON SHOULD HAVE SUNG “I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU”?!?!!

Nicki Minaj’s UGLY Hooded Atelier Versace GRAMMY Look

According to Theybf:

Oh darling Nicki. Ms. Minaj went the costume-y shock-value route tonight on the 2012 Grammys red carpet.  And opted for this blood red Ateleir Versace cape dress, embellished with the Versace Medusa in black beading.  And she even had priestly props to boot.

Guess Bishop Long was busy.

In a split red cape with black beaded embellishments, Nicki Minaj went Lil Red Riding Hood on our asses for tonight’s red carpet.  Some loved it, many hated it.  Still have a feeling she’s rocking another dress underneath this.  Time will tell.  But you decide.

Jennifer Hudson Set To Perform “I Will Always Love You” At Grammys + Beyonce Calls Whitney The “Ultimate Legend”

“It’s been revealed what Jennifer Hudson’s tribute to Whitney Houston will be tonight at the Grammys. Get the deets on her performance inside and find out what Beyonce had to say about Whitney.

We just learned that Jennifer Hudson will perform two minutes of “I Will Always Love You” during the “In Memoriam” portion of the show. And it’s said to be “simple and sweet.”  The show’s finale has been changed into something very special.

Beyonce also posted her own Whitney tribute on her website,

“The loss of Whitney Houston is painful. I remember meeting Whitney for the first time when I was 15. She was the ultimate legend. The ultimate woman. Not only was she confident, poised, stunningly beautiful and intelligent, but she was sincere and kind. She took the time to make everyone feel like they were very important to her. I, like every singer, always wanted to be just like her. Her voice was perfect. Strong but soothing. Soulful and classic. Her vibrato, her cadence, her control. So many of my life’s memories are attached to a Whitney Houston song. She is our queen and she opened doors and provided a blueprint for all of us.

God bless her.”

And earlier this evening, a few notable folks have already walked away with Grammys–mainly Mr. West.  Congrats!

The singer, in a black sheer paneled maxi dress, made sure her guests had a good time with champagne, manicure services, and free products.

And also showed off her promo pics for her upcoming All Of Me album.

Tika looked flawless as always.

Kim Porter hit up the event in a cute sweatshirt and jeans and still looked fab.

Rocsi showed up for the freebies and tried on some headphones.

And who’s this little cutie?  He’s actually super producer Timbaland‘s son, Demetrius.  And he’s a DJ and music producer as wel.

Somebody’s coming after dad’s job.

“Love & Hip Hop” creator Mona Scott Young made her way to the event.

Brian White posed it up with actress Jenna Fredrique.  We’ll keep our comments about him to ourselves.

Def a fab occasion.  Is that a huge Ciroc cake?!
