Comedian Katt Williams arrested near Sacramento on warrant related to police chase

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Comedian Katt Williams has been arrested in northern California on a felony warrant related to a police chase.

The Sacramento Bee reports that Williams was arrested Friday night in Dunnigan, about 25 miles (40 kilometres) north of Sacramento, by Yolo County deputies.

The paper says he was released from the county jail Saturday after posting bail.

The sheriff’s department confirmed Williams’ arrest late Saturday, but staffers on duty didn’t have details. A spokesman for the comedian didn’t immediately return a call and email.

The California Highway Patrol says Williams fled officers on a three-wheeled motorcycle on Nov. 25 after being spotted driving on a downtown Sacramento sidewalk.

The CHP said Williams was asked to stop and refused, leading to the pursuit.

The CHP says Williams nearly hit five people during the chase, which police ended for safety reasons.

Katt Williams Hits Target Employee in the Face

According to Yourblackworld.com,

If you’ve spent any time following the peculiar life of comedian Katt Williams, you are probably aware of the fact that it’s only a matter of time before he finds himself in prison.   Katt  has had numerous  public meltdowns lately, pulling guns on people, cussing out audience members and doing all kinds of things that make you think that he’s either suffering from serious mental illness or dealing with a drug problem.

The latest incident is probably  enough to keep him from getting too many movie deals in the  near future, because the man seems to have lost his mind.  TMZ says that the other day, Katt was in a Target in Sacramento and hit an employee in the face for reasons unknown.

In the video, the two were arguing and suddenly, Katt hits the guy in the face.   The employee then pulled out a phone and called the police. Katt then jumps into an electric cart  and takes off.  Oddly enough, Katt has not been arrested and charges have not been filed.  But if he keeps up at this pace, he’s going to find himself without a career.

Katt Williams Arrested For Car Chase In California

Via Fox40 Sacramento News:

Capitol Protection Officers were engaged with in a pursuit of comedian Katt Williams in downtown Sacramento Sunday.

Sacramento Police originally contacted Williams near the Hyatt along L Street. He was asked to leave for disturbing the peace. He did, but was soon spotted by Capitol Protection Officers.

Apparently, Williams was driving a Can Am (a three-wheeled motorcycle) on a sidewalk. From L Street, he turned onto 13th Street then onto the closed-off section of K Street in front of the Esquire IMAX Theatre. Driving through, he was said to have almost hit five pedestrians.

At this point, Capitol Protection Officers were flashing their lights for him to stop. Williams then was said to have taken his helmet off, turned to the officer and said “I’m not going to stop.”

Williams then ran several more red lights and was not cited. The Can Am did not have a license plate.

Capital Protection said they will be filing a complaint against Williams for the actions.

Williams has recently been in trouble with the law, having been arrested in Oakland back on Nov. 15 on suspicion of assault. Fans from a botched show in Oakland have sued Williams as well. His show at Power Balance Pavilion on Friday was said to have gone smoot

Katt Williams has really fallen the fawk off. Cocaine or whatever he’s on is a helluva drug.

Katt Williams Can’t Catch A Break: He’s Slapped With Class Action Lawsuit!!!

They want their dayum money back!

Can you blame them though??

According to TMZ, Katt didn’t leave folks too entertained after his meltdown during his show in Oakland.

Williams and promoter Live Nation are on the receiving end of a class action lawsuit filed by Brian Herline on behalf of everyone who went to see the comedian “perform” on November 16.

According to the lawsuit — filed on the day before Thanksgiving in Alameda County, CA — Katt’s show ended after just 10 minutes … but not before he “confronted a heckler, took his clothes off, and attempted to fight at least three audience members.”

The suit is seeking unspecified damages for “Katt Williams’ non-performance.”

Williams has been stringing together one bizarre appearance after another as of late and was actually arrested in Oakland just two days before the show in question.

We reached out to reps for Katt and Live Nation … no word back.

Do you think everyone should get a refund??

New Movie: “The Obama Effect”

This movie doesn’t look like the most highly funded venture, but does spark intrigue with Katt Williams and Charles Dutton:

“The Obama Effect” starring Katt Williams, Charles S. Dutton, Meagan Good, Vanessa Bell Calloway, Emilio Rivera, Glynn Turman and Zab Judah.

In the beginning of the 21st century, no one ever thought that an African-American would become the first President of the United States. But it happened, and an entire country celebrated the exceptional efforts pulled off by citizens ready for sweeping change. But this change didn’t come without effort. It required a unification of all people from all races and nationalities, which is what “The Obama Effect” is about.

This film centers around a middle-aged man (Charles S. Dutton) who is faced with some difficult life questions after having a heart attack. Attempting to get back on track with his life, he takes on the Obama campaign with full force in an effort to fight for something he believes in. In the end, he not only learns that putting effort into something can yield unexpected results, but that fighting for something you believe in, including yourself, is what life is all about.
