Robert F. Kennedy Claims Fox News Has Divided America In A Way Not Seen Since The Civil War, Is He Right?

Fair and balanced?

Robert F. Kennedy Says Fox News Has Divided The Country

Robert F. Kennedy Jr told HuffPost Live host Josh Zepps in an interview Friday that he believes conservative media outlets such as Fox News are damaging the country.

Via HuffPo:

Asked how he thought things have changed in the political landscape, Kennedy pointed to “big money” and “the right wing control of the American media, starting with Fox News” as hurtful to collaboration between differing political interests.

“Twenty-two percent of Americans say their primary news source is Fox News,” Kennedy told HuffPost Live. “It’s divided our country in a way that we haven’t been divided probably since the Civil War, and its empowered large corporations to get certain kinds of politicians and ideologues who are in the United State Congress elected — the Tea Party ideologues who control the Republican Party.”

Kennedy, who is the nephew of John F. Kennedy and Ted Kennedy and attorney specializing in environmental law, also spoke about the hydraulic fracturing — or fracking — and the health risks and associated costs the practice represents for the country.

It must be tough being Fox News. Half your reputation is ruined by lies the other half is ruined by the truth. However, all journalists write with bias. It’s unavoidable. One can only write from within their own perspective and frame of reference.

Even the most ardent attempts at objectivity still produce some bias. MSNBC and other networks are not exceptions to this rule.

Do you agree with Kennedy’s statements?

Mitt Romney Tells The Uninsured Americans “Get To The ER”

“Well, we do provide care for people who don’t have insurance”…“If someone has a heart attack, they don’t sit in their apartment and die. We pick them up in an ambulance, and take them to the hospital, and give them care. And different states have different ways of providing for that care.”

We’re sure a lot of you can relate to us when we say this has got to be the most ignorant comment Robney could make on his solution to cutting off “Obamacare”. In an interview on “60 Minutes” this past Sunday, Money Mitt couldn’t give a good answer when asked if it was Uncle Sam’s job to make sure we all have health care.

According to The Huffington Post, this bullisht stance contradicts everything Mitt’s shady azz had to say about healthcare reform a few years ago:

This constitutes a dramatic reversal in position for Romney, who passed a universal health care law in Massachusetts, in part, to eliminate the costs incurred when the uninsured show up in emergency rooms for care. Indeed, in both his book and in high-profile interviews during the campaign, Romney has touted his achievement in stamping out these inefficiencies while arguing that the same thing should be done at the national level.

When asked in a March 2010 interview on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” whether he believes in universal coverage, Romney said, “Oh, sure.”

“Look, it doesn’t make a lot of sense for us to have millions and millions of people who have no health insurance and yet who can go to the emergency room and get entirely free care for which they have no responsibility, particularly if they are people who have sufficient means to pay their own way,” he said.

And in a 2007 interview with Glenn Beck, Romney called the fact that people without insurance were able to get “free care” in emergency rooms “a form of socialism.”

“When they show up at the hospital, they get care. They get free care paid for by you and me. If that’s not a form of socialism, I don’t know what is,” he said at the time. “So my plan did something quite different. It said, you know what? If people can afford to buy insurance … or if they can pay their own way, then they either buy that insurance or pay their own way, but they no longer look to government to hand out free care. And that, in my opinion, is ultimate conservativism.”Getting rid of high numbers of inefficient emergency room visits was actually a key goal of Romney’s health care reform in Massachusetts,Six years after he signed health reform into law, visits to emergency rooms in Massachusetts are decreasing and the state has the highest rate of residents with health insurance.

Kentucky Woman Sold Her Newborn Son For A Truck & 800 Bucks

Kentucky Mother Isn’t Putting Money on horses; She sold her son for 800 bucks!

Three people in Kentucky face human trafficking charges after a mom allegedly traded her newborn for a pickup truck, then sold the truck for methamphetamine.

Husband and wife Jeremy and Jamiee Brown pleaded not guilty this morning in Laurel County. They’re accused of swapping their 1999 Dodge Dakota for the baby boy in January, just after his mom Heather Kaminskey, 30, gave birth, MSNBC reported.

Investigators say that Kaminskey, of Corbin, is still on the run and is wanted for drug charges. She was living in Florida before her son was born, but deputies told the Associated Press that child welfare agencies had already taken away two of her other children.

“She fled to Kentucky to have the child and avoid that child being taken by social services,” County Lt. Rodney Van Zant told the station.

Friends and even some authorities believe the Browns wanted the baby to care for it.

“I honestly believe they had the best intentions,” Van Zant said. “But the way they went about it was the wrong way.”

Kaminsky allegedly sold the truck for $800 and some meth shortly after the trade, WKRC reported.

The Browns could see 20 years in jail if convicted. The baby boy — now six months old and showing no signs of abuse — is in protective custody.

Guess crystal meth must be one helluva drug if it can turn white folks this ratchet.

Tamron Hall Verbally Beats Up Tim Carney “You’re Irritating Me And Your Not Going To Disrespect Me, Or My Show… You’re Done!” [Video]

Tamron don’t play that isht!

MSNBC’s Tamron Hall Has On-Air Quarrel With Tim Carney Over Disrespectful Allegations

MSNBC’s Tamron Hall handily shut down guest Tim Carney on Friday, in an exchange so fiery that she immediately began trending on Twitter.

Hall asked Carney about Mitt Romney’s testy reaction to a reporter asking about marijuana on Thursday. Before addressing the question, he alleged that she and the rest of the media were focusing too much attention on the candidate’s past — including his bullying of two classmates in high school.

“What you’re doing here is a typical media trick,” Carney charged. “You hype up a story and justify the second-day coverage of the story.”

That set Hall off. She began to tell him that he didn’t have to “answer a single question” she asked or “accept the invitation to come on” and speak. Carney tried to interject, but she told him, “You’re kind of in my house,” and proceeded to smack him down for over a minute.

“You’re not gonna come on and insult me, you’re not gonna come on and insult the network when you knew what we were gonna talk about,” she concluded. “Done.” With that, she cut to another guest.

Moral of the story: Don’t f**k around with Tamron f**king Hall!
