Former NBA Guard Quincy Douby May Have To Triple His Child Support Payments

Ouch…that’s a big difference! Ex-Sacramento Kings Guard Quincy Douby was already paying $1,500 each month. Now she’s asking for $15,000!!! SMH

A former NBA player who’s being asked to pay $15,000 a month in child support branded his ex-girlfriend a gold digger Wednesday who wants to imitate the “Basketball Wives” lifestyle.

Quincy Douby, 28, a 2006 first-round draft pick who played three seasons with the Sacramento Kings and now stars in China, showed up at Brooklyn Family Court based a legal challenge from his ex, Tanya Raymond.

The 28-year-old mother of their 5-year-old daughter, Quinn, claims Douby had been paying for her home, but recently stopped, forcing her to move in with her parents.

“I’ve got a father who makes $2 [million] to $3 million a year and left the child destitute,” Raymond’s lawyer Steven Gildin said in court.

Douby claimed that he’s been paying $1,500 a month for his daughter’s entire life and has been providing for all her needs.

“It’s just about money for her at this point,” he said of Raymond, his high school sweetheart. The couple split before Quinn was born.

“All these basketball shows on TV — girls are watching it and they want that kind of life,” the hoops guard claimed.
“At this point, she can have the money. I don’t care,” Douby said. “I want everyone to know I love my daughter.”

Do you think he should have to pay up that much?

Monica & Shannon Brown Madly In-Love

According to Eurweb:

Singer, mom and wife, Monica Brown is happy with the man she fell in love with.

But she also had some good advice for women who are looking to do the same – be in love, happily.

Her husband, NBA player Shannon Brown, tied the knot with the woman of his dreams fewer than six months after meeting her on the set of “Love All Over Me” in 2010 – how romantic.

Two years later, the couple is still going strong and Monica adores her man with all her heart.

“It doesn’t take that long in this business. You see how ugly people are on the inside, so with him it was really interesting…that the first time we met he was talking about his grandmother,” Monica told TT Torrez at RadioOne Fest in Miami.

Granted they had a short courtship, the singer admits they’re still learning each other – a typical thing in marriage anyway. But it’s an adventure and makes things more exciting, she explained.

“Sometimes as a woman you have to be okay with not knowing all the answers,” she said. “I started asking for confirmation and I enjoyed every second with him instead of thinking so much and [trying] to map out how it should be. I sat back and let him be a man and let him lead into what we are now.”

While it was nice seeing the beautiful life of the couple, Monica is not ready to let the cameras back in her business again. She said maybe later.

Philly Shows Allen Iverson Lots Of Love!!!

Even during the hardest time of a career-a cheering crowd sure feels good!

Before the 76ers and Celtics took the floor in Philadelphia for Game 6 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series, Allen Iverson slipped into a home jersey. However, his familiar No. 3 wasn’t stitched on the crisp white uniform. Nor was it his name on the back. The 36-year-old was sporting a replica jersey at the Wells Fargo Center on Wednesday night, bearing the name and number of Sixers guard Lou Williams, who wasn’t yet in high school when Iverson earned NBA MVP honors for his dominance during the 2000-01 season.

With the 76ers facing elimination in Game 6, the Answer was back in Philadelphia to deliver the game ball. He took the floor — decked out like a fan — and walked the ball out to NBA referee Joey Crawford. Working the crowd by imploring it to get louder, Iverson ensured that the fans recently tabbed as being “fair weather” by Kevin Garnett were producing a roiling storm of noise by the time the game got underway.

The 11-time NBA All-Star and four-time scoring champ watched from a suite as the 76ers attacked the rim with what could perhaps best be described as Iversonian tenacity (42 points in the paint) and staved off elimination with a 82-75 win.

The teams will return to Boston for a Game 7 and based on his in-game interview with Lisa Salters of ESPN, it seems that Iverson would love nothing more than to have the chance to wear a jersey with his own name on the back in such a game. Asked about his plans for retirement, Iverson stated that he’s “not using that word” and said “I want to play basketball so bad.”

Howard Finally Gets His Wish, Orlando Magic Coach Stan Van Gundy Is FIRED!

In the eloquent words of The Donald… “YOU’RE FIRED!”

Looks like Dwight got his wish

Orlando Magic Chief Executive Officer Alex Martins announced today that Stan Van Gundy has been relieved of his duties as head coach. In addition President of Basketball Operations and General Manager Otis Smith and the organization have mutually agreed to part ways.

“On behalf of the DeVos Family, we sincerely appreciate and thank Otis and Stan for all that they have done on and off the floor for the Orlando Magic,” said Martins. “These are the days you dread in this business, but we feel it’s time for new leadership and new voices.

“They both brought die-hard dedication and an unmatched work ethic on a daily basis,” added Martins. “Their success is well documented, as the Orlando Magic has had the fourth best record in the NBA over the last five years, and entering the playoffs this year the third most playoff wins over that period of time. The disappointment of getting eliminated in the first round of the playoffs these past two seasons played a primary role in our decision, as we feel our momentum towards winning a championship has paused. We wish Otis and Stan all the best and we look forward to taking the next step towards winning that championship.”

Where do you think SVG will end up? We’re hearing the Lakers might be looking for some new coaching staff come tomorrow. But, a better question is, where will Dwight be taking his talents to after this season? Or do you think he’ll be staying with the Magic?

NBA Baller’s House Investigated For Internet Kiddie Crimes

We know NBA players do some messed up stuff, but this might take the cake.

The Internet Crimes Against Children task force in Colorado has opened an investigation into alleged online child pornography crimes committed by NBA player and popular Denver Nuggest forward Chris Andersen, aka The Birdman, the media reports.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Department received a tip from a law enforcement agency from California back in February about purported online kiddie crimes by a certain NBA player.

After approximately three months, Andersen’s home was searched and officials revealed that property from The Birdman’s home were seized during the raid.

As of this report, Andersen has not yet been charged with a crime. Representatives of Andersen have not returned inquiries. The NBA has yet to comment on this potentially explosive matter.

This is some sick isht. We hope it’s a misunderstanding, but if not, this dude needs to be put under a cotdamn jail. Sick freak.
