Beyonce Teaser: Beyonce DVD Coming Soon

A teaser for Beyoncé’s upcoming self-starring, directed and executive produced documentary has arrived.

HBO will screen the as-yet untitled feature length film in the US next February, before rolling it out to other territories.

Billed as an “intimate portrait” when it was announced on November 26, HBO promised access to Beyoncé and her family — including baby daughter Blue Ivy — as well as traditional performance footage.

In the 25 second clip released today, Beyoncé’s voiceover states:

“I always battle with how much do I reveal about myself. If I’m scared, be scared. Allow it, release it.”

Cue shots of the star in rehearsal, in concert, snippets of her post-giving-birth return gigs at “Revel” in Atlantic City — and a glimpse of her baby bump before the big arrival.

It looks good, and hopefully the documentary will deliver on the Crazy in Love singer’s intention to reveal herself in ways she hasn’t before.

Already, the world has seen a more open Beyoncé this year. The 31-year-old opened a Tumblr blog in April, posting photographs, messages and impressions of her extraordinary life.

The first half of 2013 will be a busy one for the Houston native. The documentary will premiere less than two weeks after she performs at the half time show for the Super Bowl in New Orleans on February 3.

With 16 grammy awards and sales of more than 75 million to her name, whether you’re buying what Beyoncé’s selling is almost immaterial. She is the kind of artist that commands a level of respect simply because of what she has achieved.

Beyoncé will debut on a small screen near you on February 16, 2013.

Beyonce Releases New Photos Of Blue Ivy Carter

According to Hip-Hop Wired: A new day is upon us, which means that updated photos of Blue Ivy Carter are in order. Beyoncé answered the public’s silent prayers by posting more flicks of her No. 1 girl on her  Tumblr page, over the Thanksgiving holiday.

Mrs. Carter put up a photo kissing her nearly one-year-old daughter on the head, while they both (fittingly) wear blue. She also put up a black and white image of Jay holding Blue.

Needless to say this family is full of love and have a special new edition to be thankful for this holiday season.

In addition to revealing a couple of flicks, the Carters took in a post-Thanksgiving basketball game in Brooklyn. Jay and Hov joined more than 17,000 fans at the Barclays Arena alongside Destiny’s Child member Kelly Rowland, to watch the Brooklyn Nets defeat the Los Angeles Clippers, 86-76.

Going into the new year, Beyoncé will re-submerge herself in work, with a few new projects on the horizon. She’s already putting together her fifth studio album, will co-star in the new animated film,Epic, and is slated as the headliner for the Super Bowl taking place in New Orleans on February 3, 2013.

Paul Ryan Gets Booed At AARP Convention! {Video}

Mitt’s poster child got booed by the audience as he vowed to repeal Obamacare during AARP’s annual conference yesterday in New Orleans.

“The first step to a stronger Medicare is to repeal Obamacare, because it represents the worst of both worlds: It weakens Medicare for today’s seniors and puts it at risk for the next generation.”

The speech almost came off as a lecture more than “facts”, which we know is saying a lot for the Robney/Lyan campaign. Ryan also talked about the cut rate, saying, “The money wasn’t walled off to stay in Medicare. Instead, the law turned Medicare into a piggy bank for Obamacare.”

The kid got cut off again by more boos and he responded by telling the rowd…”You don’t have to take my word for it, you don’t have to take my word for it,”.

Stop the lies please.

Cuba Gooding Jr. Has a Warrant Out for His Arrest

Remember Cuba Gooding Jr?  He’s the actor that you may not remember because he hasn’t exactly made any major films in a while.  But you could remember him from doing backflips when he won his Academy Award back in 199xxxx (we really can’t remember).

Gooding has appeared back in the news for reasons that might not exactly help his career all that much.  The actor is wanted for allegedly shoving a bartender on Bourbon Street in New Orleans.  The incident took place early Tuesday morning and the female bartender is out for legal blood.

Gooding was at The Olde Absinthe House when he wasn’t happy about a tourist who was trying to take his picture without permission.

“Gooding soon became very aggravated with them,” the New Orleans police said in a statement.

When the bartender came over to tell Gooding to calm down, he allegedly “pushed her away with an open hand.”

That’s when hell broke loose and the woman called the police.   After the bartender told Gooding that the police were coming, he allegedly pushed her again and fled.   He is now wanted for municipal battery.

Gooding was in New Orleans to film “The Butler” with Oprah Winfrey.

Warrant Issued For Cuba Gooding Jr.’s Arrest For Pushing A New Orleans Bartender

Cuba Gooding Jr. Wanted For Assaulting Bartender In New Orleans

Aww-man..not Cuba?!?!

An arrest warrant has been issued for Cuba Gooding Jr. after the Oscar-winning actor allegedly shoved a female bartender early Tuesday morning in New Orleans, Celebuzz has confirmed.

“There has been an arrest warrant issued for [Gooding Jr.] for municipal battery,” Remi Braden, the Director of Public Affairs for the New Orleans Police Dept., told Celebuzz exclusively. “Apparently he pushed a bartender twice at the bar.”

“He was apparently getting rowdy when people were trying to take photos, and he got aggravated,” Braden continued. “The bartender tried to calm him down, at which time he allegedly pushed her, and before he left the bar he pushed her again.”

“When he left, it was either the bartender or her boss immediately called the police.”

“We are currently looking for him.”

Gooding Jr., who became a household name after his Oscar-winning performance in Jerry Maguire, is in New Orleans filming the new Lee Daniels movie The Butler, starring Forest Whitaker, Oprah Winfrey and Jane Fonda, among others.

Story developing …

Somebody please hold an intervention for this man! Where is Tom Cruise when we really need him?

President Obama On Guns “AK-47s Belong In The Hands Of Soldiers, Not On The Streets!”

Days after the Colorado movie theater massacre, President Barack Obama on Wednesday forcefully spoke out against gun violence, making some of his strongest comments yet as president on the issue:

While the president said he stands by the Second Amendment and recognizes the traditions of hunting and gun ownership in the country, he told a crowd at a gathering for the National Urban League in New Orleans that there is work left to be done in tackling the problem.

“I also believe that a lot of gun owners would agree that AK-47s belong in the hands of soldiers, not in the hands of criminals,” Obama said. “That they belong on the battlefield of war, not on the streets of our cities.”

The president has largely steered away from talking about gun laws. While he visited the families of victims in Aurora, Colorado on Sunday, he did not wade into the political debate over gun legislation that dominated national dialogue over the weekend.

With record high reports of murders being attributed to guns in such major cities as Chicago, Atlanta and Philly; Obama’s message is needed more now than ever. Do you think the Second Amendment and gun control will play a significant part in the next election?

I Love My President: Barack Obama Announces New Education Program That Caters To Black Students

Say what you want about Obama-He has my VOTE!

Barack Obama Announces New Education Program That Caters To African-American Students

Locked in a tough re-election battle with Mitt Romney, President Barack Obama aimed to energize his core supporters – African American voters – by delivering a rousing speech and unveiling a new executive order at the Urban League’s annual convention in New Orleans Tuesday night. The president told the largely African American crowd of roughly 3,700 people that the executive order will seek to improve educational achievement for African Americans at all levels “so every child has greater access to a complete and competitive education from the time they’re born to the time, all through the time they get a career” the president said to cheers.

An administration official tells NBC News the order will create a new White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for African-Americans that will “work across Federal agencies and with partners and communities nationwide to produce a more effective continuum of education programs for African American students.” The official added that the initiative would be housed in the Education Department, which will work with the Executive Office and other Cabinet agencies to identify practices that will improve African Americans’ achievement in schools and colleges. The administration official did not yet know how much funding the program would receive but said more information would be released Thursday when the president signs the executive order.

The president has previously received criticism from some black leaders for not doing enough to help the African American community as rates for school dropout and unemployment among African Americans continue to be higher than the national numbers. Last August, Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-CA) told a crowd of Congressional Black Caucus members in Detroit, “We want to give the president every opportunity to show what he can do and what he’s prepared to lead on. But our people are hurting and the unemployment rate is unconscionable.”

Obama has in the past responded to such criticism. In an interview on BET last September he answered a question about why he didn’t create more policies specifically targeted at African Americans: “That’s not how America works,” the president replied, “America works when all of us are pulling together and everybody is focused on making sure that every single person has opportunity.”

Former Cash Money Rapper B.G. Sentenced To 14 Years Hard Time For Gun Possession

BG Don’t drop the soap!

B.G. Sentenced To 14 Years In Prison

A 31-year-old local rapper who gained international acclaim for his gritty songs detailing drug dealing, violence and a no-snitch mantra was sentenced Wednesday to 14 years in federal prison for gun possession and witness tampering. Christopher Dorsey, better known as B.G. or Baby Gangsta, was an original member of the 1990s rap super group the Hot Boys. His most recent album, “Too Hood 2 Be Hollywood,” came out in 2009 on Atlantic Records.

The New Orleans-born rap artist toured the world, but a 2009 traffic stop in eastern New Orleans — combined with a lengthy criminal history — marked the end of his freedom.

In federal court Wednesday, the hefty Dorsey wore a jail jumpsuit, and for unknown reasons, sat in a wheelchair. His demeanor was a far cry from the grinning, on-top-of-the-world hip-hop hero who drove fancy cars and cavorted with scantily-clad women in music videos.

Dorsey had previously pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm during a 2009 traffic stop in eastern New Orleans. But later, he obstructed justice by pushing one of his two associates to falsely claim ownership of the gun.

Dorsey confessed to the crimes but prosecutors made clear that he was not cooperating, staying in line with the “no-snitch” philosophy he so often espoused in his songs.

In “I Ain’t Tellin”, he raps: “I won’t snitch, never tell, if the law comes and get me, I’m gonna sit my ass in jail.”

Welp, that might be HIS motto, but not necessarily his homie’s…

Dorsey was arrested with Demounde Pollard, 20, and Jerod Fedison, 30. Police found three guns, along with loaded magazines. Two of the guns had been reported stolen and the car itself had been stolen from an Alamo rental car parking lot.

Pollard confessed to ownership of the guns, though it was later revealed to be at the behest of Dorsey.
The state criminal case was eventually moved to federal court and both Pollard and Fedison pleaded guilty, paving the way for the charges against Dorsey. Pollard reached a plea agreement with prosecutors and was sentenced to 30 months in prison; Fedison, with an extensive criminal record, received a 20-year sentence.

It didn’t help B.G.’s case that he was gallivanting around New Orleans with the the city’s most notorious drug dealers/killers.

Prosecutors have linked Dorsey in court filings to two of the city’s most high-profile alleged murderers, Telly Hankton and Walter Porter. Dorsey name-checks both men in videos posted online.

Hankton, recently convicted in one murder and serving a life sentence, has been called Public Enemy No. 1 by local police and prosecutors, who have alleged that he ran a sprawling drug empire whose markets were enforced with violence. He is currently awaiting trial on another murder. Porter is currently in jail, charged with killing the brother of a witness in a killing perpetrated by Hankton.

Another ganster rapper locked up-what’s new?!!!
