Bad Father: Snoop Defends Smoking Weed With His Son ”My Kids Can Do Whatever The Hell They Want”

Snoop Dogg Defends Smoking With Son

Everyone has a different style of parenting, and according to Snoop, his way is better. He’s on the cover of and featured in The Hollywood Reporter where he discusses smoking with son Corde.

Via Hollywood Reporter:

The family that smokes together stays together? So it would seem in the house of Snoop Dogg, where the hip-hop legend not only tokes with his eldest son Corde (nicknamed Spank), he’s helping the 18-year-old launch a career as Spanky Danky, whose songs have such titles as “Rollin, Rollin, Rollin … Stoned,” “California Gs” and “Commemoration of Vaporization.”

“What better way to [learn] than from the master?,” Snoop tells The Hollywood Reporter in a new cover story. He’s referring specifically to photos posted on Twitter showing son lighting father’s 2-foot-bong. Before Spank pressed send, Snoop didn’t flinch. “My kids can do whatever the hell they want,” he explains of his parenting philosophy. “For me to say otherwise would be hypocritical. A lot of motherf–ers don’t have a relationship with their kids, and that’s when they get on drugs and have suicidal thoughts and drive drunk. Me and my son is mellow. I’m his father, so I wanna show him the proper way because he looks up to me.”

For the record, Snoop, a California resident, is a proud holder of what he calls “a platinum medical maryjane card,” though to be sure, most of his green is gifted. Still, he hopes to see the drug fully — and federally — legalized in his lifetime. What would America look like then? “There would be less high-speed chases, less robberies, less crime,” he says. “Go to Amsterdam or the Netherlands where it is legal and you see that the crime rate is nonexistent, the murder rate is probably under 10 percent, people learn to get along! There are people riding on bicycles being happy and it’s because of the environment that’s provided by the legalization of chronic.”

So what’s the verdict, folks?? Do you agree with Snoop D-O-Double-G???

Snoop Dogg Gets Awakened by Rastafarians; Swears Off His Old Gangta Sh*t for New Music

Snoop Dogg went to Jamaica and came back with a new name.  The rapper claims that he had a religious awakening and a Rastafarian priest gave him the new name Snoop Lion and told him to search for “a new path.”

“I didn’t know that until I went to the temple, where the High Priest asked me what my name was, and I said, ‘Snoop Dogg.’ And he looked me in my eyes and said, ‘No more. You are the light; you are the lion.’ From that moment on, it’s like I had started to understand why I was there,” Snoop said.

Snoop’s original name was Calvin Broadus, Jr.  Snoop says that he has always loved the great Bob Marley and feels a connection to him

“I have always said I was Bob Marley reincarnated,” Snoop said. “I feel I have always been a Rastafari. I just didn’t have my third eye open, but it’s wide open right now.”

Snoop is now 40-years old and looking to do something a little bit different.  Rap is getting old to him, so he is looking to embrace another form of music that lets him connect to his inner Bob Marley.

“I’ve been on the top ever since I’ve been in it,” he said. “I got rap songs that will never die. And that ain’t with no disrespect but I’m tired of rap.”

In the booth, Snoop disconnected from his old self, talking about the old Snoop Dogg as if he was another person.

“F*ck Snoop Dogg. Don’t think about none of the sh*t he rapped about: hustling and making money and drug-dealing and shooting. All that sh*t’ll be out of here,” he said.

Snoop says that he doesn’t want to do the old “Gangsta sh*t” that he became famous for and now wants to do music that his kids and grandkids can listen to.

“I’m a wise man in the music industry,” he said. “Not that I’ll never do rap again because I’m always gonna do what I love, but right now I’m Snoop Lion and I’m having fun with this reggae movement so hopefully you guys will enjoy it as well.”

Snoop Dogg Is Born Again

Snoop is born again:

According to Yahoo: Snoop Dogg wants you to know that he’s tired of hip-hop, is Bob Marley reincarnated and is embracing reggae instead of the culture of guns he once rapped about.

Also, he’s got a new name: Snoop Lion.

The artist said at a news conference Monday in New York that he was “born again” during a visit to Jamaica in February and is ready to make music that his “kids and grandparents can listen to.”

The former gangster rapper is releasing a reggae album called “Reincarnated” in the fall. He said that in Jamaica, he connected with Bob Marley’s spirit and is now “Bob Marley reincarnated.”

Bob Marley’s son Rohan attended the conference and gave Snoop his blessing.

“I feel like I’ve always been Rastafarian,” Snoop said of the spiritual Jamaican movement. While there, he said, he visited a temple, was renamed Snoop Lion and was also given the Ethiopian name Berhane, meaning “light of the world.”

Snoop didn’t explain why he was switching from “Dogg” to “Lion,” but it’s likely a reference to the Lion of Judah, a religious symbol popular in Rastafarian and Ethiopian culture.

Later, he played five songs for a small crowd, including one called “No Guns Allowed.” It features his daughter and includes the lyrics, “No guns allowed in here tonight, we’re going to have a free for all, no fights.”

“It’s so tragic that people are doing stupid things with guns,” he said.

Snoop, best known for hits like “Gin and Juice” and “Drop It Like It’s Hot,” is an avid supporter of marijuana rights and has been banned from entering Norway for two years after trying to enter the country with a small amount last month.

He said that in Jamaica, where he stayed for 35 days, he grew closer to his wife, who saw his transition. He added that he’s excited to perform music that his family and children can listen to.

“As a 40-year-old man … I’ve got to give them something,” he said. “That’s what you do when you’re wise.”

Snoop Dogg said he’s not completely retiring from hip-hop but is “tired” of the genre because it is no longer challenging.

“Reggae was calling … it’s a breath of fresh air,” he said. “Rap isn’t challenging; it’s not appealing.”

The album was produced by Diplo and will feature Snoop singing. It will be released on Vice Records.

The album will be followed with a documentary of the same name, also produced by Vice. It features Snoop making music and will include some personal elements of his life, a producer of the film said. It will debut at the Toronto International Film Festival in September.

A coffee table book about Snoop’s rebirth is also in the works.

“It feels like I’m 19 or 20 years old again,” he said.

Sad: Nate Dogg Left Behind 1 Condo Valued at 200K For 6 Kids

Black folks have to start leaving more behind for the sake of our children!

According to TMZ: Rapper Nate Dogg had 6 kids, no will, and $200,000 in real estate to his name when he died last year … and now a lawyer’s been named to divvy up his assets.

In probate documents filed yesterday in L.A. County Superior Court … Nate’s home in Pomona, CA is valued at $350,000 — but he still owed $150,000.

The documents also list his six children — 4 daughters, 2 boys — who will inherit his estate … which may include much more cash than the $200k. Nate’s earnings from his music catalog will ultimately be added to the pot.

According to the docs, attorney Alex Borden has been nominated — by one of Nate’s daughters and the mother of one of his boys — to handle his affairs.

SNOOP DOGG I Wrote a Porn Rap … NOW LISTEN TO IT!!!

Snoop Dogg loves porn so much, he decided to express his feelings through song — and TMZ has obtained the XXX hip hop homage … even though we had to bleep about 96% of it.

The track appears on a porn called “The Flying Pink Pig” — about a sex-crazed foodtruck staff … which stars L.A.’s own famous “Flying Pig” taco truck.

If any of this sounds familiar, you might recall … the owner of the “Flying Pig”threatened to sue the producer behind the XXX movie – Erica McLean – claiming she never told him the film contained hardcore sex.

Long story short, the lawsuit was never filed — and Snoop had the opportunity to showcase his t****-rhyming talents … a special favor for McLean, a close friend.

Fun fact: Erica McLean is the genius behind Hustler’s infamous “Barely Legal” series. Be sure to say thank you if you ever meet her in person.

According Eurweb:

Already known for his appreciation of any type of smoking, rapper Snoop Dogg will now be launching his own cigar brand, according to NewsOne.

The cigar brand, named Executive Branch, will use premium tobacco from the Dominican Republic and has been hand-picked by the rapper.

We have to applaud Snoop for his various entrepreneurial efforts as he is now moving into close to two decades in the rap game and still ticking.

After his arrest in Texas last month for marijuana possession, let’s hope he moves away from the weed smoke to some legal smoke.
