It definitely got real heated for Tami Roman earlier this week after she showed her ugly colors during the last episode of ‘Basketball Wives’. Throughout the show, Tami bullied and took possession of a purse from castmember Kesha while they were visiting Tahiti which resulted in Kesha’s decision to leave the island out of fear and return to Miami. On Monday night, fans of the show tweeted in disgust at Tami’s behavior including Nicki Minaj who tweeted, ‘So disturbed by this episode. SAD’. For days, Tami and her daughters Jazz and Lyric were bullied by online commenters on both twitter and facebook before Tami and her daughters deleted their twitter pages altogether.
Today Tami revealed that she deleted her twitter because she has a new opportunity and she is ready to put Basketball Wives behind her:
I deactivated my twitter for the time being because I have been blessed with a wonderful opportunity to work with phenomenal actors on a new television show. I didn’t want to wake up to the continual negativity from a mistake made over four months ago, which I have openly acknowledged and apologized for to overshadow the blessing of this moment. I plan to reactivate my twitter when a formal announcement has been made about this new opportunity with the hopes of putting BasketBall Wives behind me.
After this week’s episode aired, Tami took to both her facebook and twitter to apology for her actions on the show:
I just landed in NYC, but I did catch 2nites episode on the plane. As I said earlier, this was BAD, wrong & immature –I apologize….I’m not proud of my behavior, but I own up to it and face it. I do apologize 2my family, my friends, my kids & 2 my cast members. The supporters who have been there, I’m sorry I let U down- this was not handled properly & I felt bad THEN and now. I simply ask that U b respectful 2my kids- they R NOT BBW & do not control my actions on the show. Don’t become what U criticize. I would have blogged this but I wanted 2 address it as soon as I landed. Accept it or nt, I acknowledge & apologize to ALL involved.
I don’t apologize for it 2b accepted – that is ultimately the other person’s right to accept or deny it. My only responsibility is to acknowledge a mistake was made and own up to it. I apologize to my family, my REAL friends, my business colleagues, and my Project Girl ladies 4my recent behavior on BBW. I am NOT a bully as depicted on the show, but I did make poor decisions in handling my differences with my cast mate. I sincerely apologize to all of us, as well as to my castmate who was on the receiving end of my wrath.
Meanwhile, Kesha wrote a blog after the show saying that she was ready to bring awareness to the issue of adult bullying:
What I experienced was extremely difficult and emotional for me, as I’m sure it is for all victims of bullying. Unfortunately, I had to relive my personal experience by watching it happen on national television. At the same time, I now have a platform to bring awareness to the issue of adult bullying in today’s society.
The whole situation is terribly sad. A week prior, I sympathized with Tami when she stated in an interview that she was the victim of online bullying so it was very disappointing that she allowed her anger to get the best of her yet again. She said in an interview:
Waking up to negativity on Twitter, negativity on Facebook, negativity on blogs, it’s emotionally and mentally draining, and things people say because they think they know you for watching you one hour of the week, it can weigh on your psyche.
You don’t have to follow me on Twitter. You really don’t. You don’t have to like me on Facebook. You don’t have to do any of that. If you disagree with how I handle something or the way a moment went down, you can say that and you don’t have to call me a b!tc#. You don’t have to call me a lowlife. You don’t have to call me a hood rat. You don’t have to call me out my name to get your point across.
Let’s hope lessons were learned by everyone involved. During the reunion, Shaunie promised less fighting and more positivity [which they didn't hold up to this season], so we can only hope that they will all grow up before the next season begins filming.
From the sound of her post, it doesn’t sound like Tami will be returning.

Tami apologizes for her bullying of Kesha, what about Meeka for physically and verbally attacking her? It’s funny watching Tammy the bully have the tables turned on her and her’s, and now ask for compassion that she refused to show to those she tortured, attacked and bullied. She has the nerve to preach don’t become what u criticize, ARE U SERIOUS? What ever new TV opportunity Tami has I certainly will boycott it too, or any product she endorses or is connected with.

It’s not sincere. She’s done this every year she was on the show. This is because she is worried about losing her money like she said. A backlash would negatively affect her “new” opportunity. I stopped watching the show, and I hope to God everyone else will turn a blind eyes to any and every show involving these ladies.
Tammi is a bully!! I will boycott anything that she is involved with. If she wants compassion she should show compassion. She has the nerve to ask people not to attack her, she needs to be kicked off the show until she can get some real help…

I am glad to see Tami Roman’s apology, but she is not the only problem with this show. The responsibility ultimately rests squarely on Shaunie O’Neal’s shoulders. She is executive producer, sees the dailies and decides what airs and what doesn’t. We could be spared some of the ugliness if it wasn’t making her a LOT of money. Further, they ALL participated in the rotten seafood prank which was so childish my CHILD asked, “Who does this?” SAD.

I couldn’t believe Tami’s actions on the show. It’s funny how she says be respcetful of my kids they are not BBW. That’s real funny. When I was watching I was like what if that was her daughter that was in Keisha’s position. Sitting in the van while the mean girls sit behind her telling her how to cough. Took her dauthers purse and says if you want it you’re gonna have to come and get it. That’s bullying. That’s asking for a fight. That’s crazy. She is too old for that type of behavior and this is not her first time acting a fool. They argue over the silliest things…I heard this and I heard that; oh please! Last season she felt the need to lay hands on Tamika. All the girl did was put her hand up and Tami hit her all b/c, (as she put it) felt threatened. She is just a BULLY. She can deny it all she wants. It’s like anyone who walks away from a fight like Jen tried to do is a punk. Just b/c she wants to press charges or sue them she’s a punk and she ain’t real. I agree her behavior was deplorable, but I disagree with blaming all of the immaturity on Shaunie Oneal. She isn’t the only producer and keep in mind Vh1 operates it’s other reality shows the same way. I don’t believe she is happy with the direction or the antics of the cast, but this is a reality show formula that works and brings in huge ratings.
Tammy’s bullying and attacking Meeka was more vicious but seem to have been forgotten. I hope Meeka sued her a$$ and Shaunie’s for producing this HOT MESS and putting her in harms way. I hope Meeka gets paid good! This will send a strong message to all bullies like Tammy, Evelyn, Suzy and especially Shaunie who benefited at the expense of Black Women who already are discriminated against and disrespected. The only TV show these women need to do is a 2 hour special Panel with them, those they buillied and REAL audience (not handpicked) participation with women like us to discuss the far reaching damage they’ve significantly contributed to the image of Black Women.
This is a GREAT idea, it’ll NEVER be done but good just the same. I think Shaunie, Tami and Evelyn need to answer to minority women for what they’ve done. How DARE they disrespect US by putting this trash on TV. Tami making comments like “you should just take your a$$ whipping and keep it moving”. Was she raised by wolves or something? I would LOVE to see these women have to face a panel of educated (and I don’t just mean scholarly), classy, MATURE women and try to explain how their behavior (as women of color) is acceptable. If you think the women of Spelman gave Nelly a hard time … this would be a massacre!

Suzy is a sly underhanded giraffe neck looking snake who
is constantly backbiting and behind most of the fights and
confusion. She betrayed Meeka and also took gossip
back to Tammi about what Keesha said in an earlier
episode. She does this to keep the drama off of her
and stay in good graces with the other rattlesnakes.
I don’t usually watch what they call reality shows but Atlanta housewives got me hooked. In the beginning basketball wives were ok to watch, but what I notice with each episode the violence increased. Please don’t think Shaunie didn’t know what was going down. Her created monster of a show gets rating by all the drama. There was nothing positive going on. After these type of shows ends somebody gets a deal or an opportunity opens up to do something else. It’s a shame how the show is represented, truely not an example for young black women.

I have said many times “how can they call each other friends?” I would NEVER sit back and watch as my friend bullies and fights everywhere we go. NO ONE came to Kesha’s aid. I think Evelyn, Suzie, and Shaunie are scared of Tammi too!!! Evelyn cried after the fact but would not admit that Tammi was wrong. Shaunie whispered that Tammi should give Kesha her purse back but was not convincing. Suzi started the whole thing just so it wasnt her that was kicked to the curb. Tami said that to call the police was snitching and that a person should just take the beating. When money was involved with the ridiculous t-shirt business she was quick to contact a lawyer and wanted to sue Evelyn. How can any intelligent athlete want anything to do with these idiots.
